Overview

Udo Island has long been called Soseom or Sheseom because its shape resembles a cow lying down. Blessed with natural conditions such as gentle slopes, fertile soil, abundant fishing grounds, and the Eight Scenic Views of Udo Island, it is a representative subsidiary island of Jeju that attracts approximately 2 million tourists annually. You can take a ferry to Udo Island from Seongsan Port or Jongdal Port, and the journey takes about 15 minutes regardless of the departure point. The island is 3.8 km long and 17 km in circumference; while it takes 3 to 4 hours to walk the entire distance without stopping, most tourists explore the famous tourist attractions by bus, bicycle, or electric mini-car. If you wish to enjoy Udo Island at a leisurely pace, it is recommended to take the morning ferry to the island and the afternoon ferry to return, spending the entire day Udo Island. However, ferry operations may vary depending on the weather, so you must check the weather conditions when planning Udo Island travel itinerary.
