Overview

Sanbangsan Carbonated Hot Springs is a public hot springs in Seogwipo with carbonated water, a rare find in Korea. Legend has it that drinking this water cured illnesses and helped with high blood pressure and heart health. This is because carbon dioxide absorbed through the skin stimulates and expands capillaries, which consequently lowers blood pressure and reduces the burden on the heart. Carbonated hot springs are also known to be beneficial for skin care and relieving fatigue. With glass ceilings and walls, visitors can experience an atmosphere as if they are enjoying a hot spring amidst nature, making it an ideal place to bathe while taking in the refreshing panoramic views of Jeju.
