Overview
The 23rd Seosan Haemi Eupseong Festival will be held from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Seosan Haemieupseong Walled Town. Under this year’s theme, “HAEMI UNIVERSE: 1421, The Gate of Time Opens,” the festival draws on the fortress’s 600-year history through performances and hands-on activities inspired by the site and its stories. Highlights include King Taejong’s Gangmu Procession, the Daedong Fortress Construction Procession, a themed performance, a drone light show, a Black Eagles flyover, and Haemi the Classic. Visitors can also take part in RPG: Return to Haemi, try on traditional costumes, and enjoy horseback riding, traditional Korean archery, and calligraphy. After dark, light projections and illuminations transform parts of the fortress, while performances by local artists and a traditional wedding program offer visitors a taste of local culture.
